Like everyone else said, your never too old. And anyway, your 24. Since when has that been old? I think the only time you will be too old is when you lose your teeth and can hardly breathe

If purchasing an instrument is too expensive, many music stores offer a rent-to-own program where every month's rent is applied to the total purchase amount of the instrument, and once that amount is reached, it's yours! That's how I bought my clarinet. Also, plastic clarinets, while not as nice, are much cheaper than wooden, and are fine for beginner or recreational playing. I used my plastic Vito for my first two years of band before I switched to bass, and used it again last year for marching band.

Nobody is ever to old to try something new! Grab a beginner book(so what if it has stupid pictures/song titles?) and try it out! Good luck and have fun!
