The more you practice, the better. I used to practice even 6 hours every day.

I have been told that you should practice at least 30 minutes a day. I always practice way more than that. I have also been told that you should take about a 5 minute break about every 30 minutes just so you don`t keep the strain on your mouth, when you are a beginner, when you get more advanced you can handle playing for lots longer than 30 minutes. But make sure you take time to practice the piano. I did that when I started sax, I stopped playing the clarinet for a while and it ruined my calrinet ebmouchure.

Hi! oh girl you better practice that piano too! hehe Piano and clarinet are both great, I play both but i`m opposite for the summer. I`ve been playing more piano hehehe. But I have a clarinet solo with piano acc. that I`m gonna be practicing.. I should be practicing the marching music thou... oh well lol I don`t think its necessarily bad, hey you`ll become even better at clarinet! But you wanna be good at piano too don`t you? Especially when its summer its a good time to practice both when you have more time.

If you`re going to go for a music degree, a music teacher told me you`ve got to take piano to get it. Not sure if teh same applies wherever you are, but I`d keep practicing it too. I`ve got to take it up soon... but currently I`m working on harmonica and going to get a new guitar this summer
