When I play the the first note "B" on the register key it squeaks a litte bit. Any advice?

Oh, and practice.

I still sometimes get resistance from Bb in certain progressions, but you really just have to keep working at it. Try messing aroudn with reed position and ligature position/tightness to get the best sound out of the instrument. and, as said, practice to all hell

my clarinet had the same problem and is getting it again and this is my third year. you might need to get it repaired - i did.

If you can play the B when your right pinkie is on the C key, but cannot play it when the right pinkie is lifted, then you need to get your clarinet repaired. It`s not a matter of practicing <though you should, of course> - the pad simply doesn`t seal tight enough. It can easily be fixed.

Some Clarinets just dont play the B w/o the righthand C. Mine didn`t, but then a quick trip to the repair shop fixed that for about $16.
An alternate fingering is thumb, 1 2,3,4,5,6,and the right(not the C key) top key w/ your right pinky.

yea..the best thing to do is practice practice practice. By the way, how long have you been playing clarinet? The best thing i can say is try adjusting your embuchure and try doing lots of things like i did when i started playing clarinet. Just take time and practice for a good long while, ya know..messing around with the keys, listening to your tone, making it better. There are lots of things you can do with it...i did it and now im top clarinet in my band.
