At school everyone thinx band peeps are just nice and calm peeps. in my perspective dey r wrong! many of da peeps in my school (that r in band) cuss. is this bad or not? are there any other peeps out there dat cuss or not, if u do plz write somthing here. its a survay 2 sho every1 band peeps are not geeks. i think band peeps should sho there inside and not be teased around. if i get kiked around or som1 tells me things 4 being in band i get em bak hard. but im not always like this im usually silly and all but u no, plz tell me if u r 1 of us that are getto or som1 dat cuss. and i dont cuss i just say words like d**n. nothin harder dan dat.

i dont cuss cause it makes me diffrent than 99.98375632527% of the world but i am no goody two shoe i am a pastors kid and i dont know if you have heared of them but let just say were not little angles. no im not a nerd or a geek

there goes 1 to no cussing and another not a geek, but i need proof. i havnt changed at all 2 say da truth, im still a silly person who uses da comp a lot.

first off, to bariamazing, i've heard that some of the worst people in the world are pastors' kids. i'm not saying anything directly against you, though.

second, our band is full of different people, not many geeks. i don't know any geeks in our band, other than the fact that you can say anyone in band is a "band geek," but that's it, really.

But being a band geek is so much fun!

in my school we don't have a "band" but that might just be coz i'm from england, i don't know, but we have a school orchestra which i don't really consider an orchestra, it's more like an ensemble, i say this coz it isn't a traditional orchestra, (we have two drum kits, recorders, keyboards, guitars and saxophone among other things) but none of us are "band geeks", we have some of the most ghetto peeps in my school in the orchestra, the whole of the woodwind section minus one girl are mad, that includes me, but no-one in my school would mess with anyone in the orchestra, everyone wants to be us so straight up, anyone who cusses us will get a beating courtesy of PMHS orchestra (my school is Preston Manor High School) but yeah straight up without a doubt "band peeps" are the best!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you all have the wrong idea about band geeks. Band geeks aren't losers, people to be picked on, the bottom of the social ladder. Being a band geek is about having found something you love to do, or even just enjoy doing, and doing it. You make friends based on similar interests, don't you? Band is a great place for that. It isn't any different from being on a volleyball, soccer, football team.
I love music. I'm glad to be a band geek, and I have some great friends because of it. Is that such a bad thing?

well thx shelly_belly 4 bein on topic and my schools just like dat but except we have a band. if any of us have a problem we bak em up. most of my band members cuss but i dont mind. i care less about fighting and all so...any1 whos messes w/ a band member well gets beat up.

Hold up! I don't think I caught half of those words! It might be me getting older, but is it possible that we might be able to use the correct words and spellings on here? I know you like to talk that way...but phoenetic spelling is not why we are here. If it takes people 10 minutes to figure out what you are trying to ask...then what is the point? This was the main reason I left this forum a few months ago in the first place. Everyone that comes here seems to want to act like a child, yet they want treated like an adult. Let's all please act like adults and gain the knowledge everyone has to share. What will happen when you enter college English..or even really High School English, and have to do papers and write about things? I also don't associate "ghetto" as a good word for describing people(especially fellow musicians). I know you're probably going to ramble something horribly explicit, and "ghetto"- so I just want you to know that I am not reading this post again no matter what you write. lol, sorry its just a habbit while writing. for me its just hard to spell some words right so i make it shorter and how people say, "slang". Huh? You are asking if all band people are geeks right? Well in my band, we joke around with that tittle. We don't care if anyone outside of band calls us "band geeks" because they don't mean it. For the times that the students do mean it, we don't really care. And about the cussing & the goody goody thing, come on. I cuss(but not like really bad) and a majority of everyone in my band says damn and w/e. It's a chilled atmosphere and no we are not nerds/geeks.

well if you want an answer here it is...i dont cuss (harshly), but teachers tell me not to say some things that arnt that bad (on my perspective). well, on topic, what i mean by ghetto is that our town is small and pretty poor. a little messed up but could still manage a school band, somehow. well most of us arnt seriously band GEEKS we just play for the fun of it and nothing else (including killing time). we do mess around a lot during rehersals but we still manage to nail the concerts. Soooooo....yeah. well ive been paying attenting a little more now for some reason( that i wont mention). so now i have been losing friends cs they think i should hang out with the geek, but that gets me mad. well telling my whole life here. well...ann any more post/questions???

at my old school, im home schooled because what i did with the band peeps, we are the best group around.everyone knows us and we know everyone. we do everything, and we don't look anything like geeks at all, all of our sax guys are as sexy as they get, and u can't forgett our drummers...
