This is our first time posting on this forum and as we don't know much about wind instruments, apologies if our question is very naive. We are getting married next year and would love Gabriel's Oboe to be played in the church during the ceremony. This is a piece of music that means a lot to both of us. A friend of ours plays the clarinet and we were hoping someone might be able to tell us whether Gabriel's Oboe can be played on the clarinet and, if so, where we might get sheet music arranged for the clarinet?
We would really appreciate any help you may be able to give us.
Thanking you,
Helen and Enda

Yes, it's possible to play oboe pieces on the clarinet. If your friend is playing on a B-flat clarinet, the music must be transposed up one whole step.
I looked at some sheet music sites. So far, I've only seen this piece available for concert instruments (piano, flute, violin, etc.)
Finding a transposed part may be difficult, the clarinet player might end up having to write out the part.
