In a new piece I've written - after bar 41,(D.C al $) I go back to the start and play to the sign. This brings me to bar 16. Ok so far. Now i want to jump to bar 42 leaving out bars 17 thru 41. What direction do I place at bar 16 to indicate the jump?

Thanks for that... Hmmm. The coda will then be the remainder of the piece which is another 36 bars.. I thought the coda was supposed to be a tail ending? The second time around, bars 17 thru 41 are not played... David Admin is posting the piece on the forum for me and then maybe have a look. It's called Slow Dance.

Found the answer. After DC al Coda; It's a symbol like an egg with a vertical stroke through it. It means jump from here to the next egg with a line through it. I suppose it's a Coda symbol.
