Hi, I was just wondering what my Leblanc Galaxy clarinet is worth. I bought it a few years ago and I payed around 350. The clarinet is in very good condition and comes with a case. They also don't make these anymore.

Your best bet is to take it to your local instrument repair shop and ask for the value of it. Most shops do it for free. Also, if you do want a more accurate response from people here, perhaps saying the year of purchase, what the use of the instrument has, any damages and a few pictures would help a lot.

It's my understanding that the Leblanc Galaxy was a limited production clarinet made for the Sam Ash Co. It was a composit or plastic instrument, but reasonable well made. I purchased one over eBay to use as a back-up clarinet to my Selmer Centered
Tone, and when the weather threatened to be inclement. It plays reasonable well--I an not ashamed to use it. Kenny Davern played a plastic clarinet with just a regular 5RVLyre mouthpiece. His playing, technique, tone were magnificent. You came probably get around $200.00 for the Galaxy.
