Hunny... too many turns and grace notes. If you can't play them well, or they don't fit the piece, DON'T PLAY THEM! Way too much attempt at vibrato... and your tone is VERY breathy. The plastic clarinet doesn't help your tone at all... Wheres your professional wood one?

Ok its just sometimes i get carried away...and my vibrato is just a really bad habbit from flute....

I had to sell my E11 and my R13 to help pay for my sister's tution.
O well....thank you
How would u suggest i fix the Airy tone?
Would getting a harder reed work?
cause that was only a 2.5

Well you shouldn't even use vibrato if you can't control it.

Fix your tone by blowing air in a finer stream through your instrument, also make sure theres no saliva on the reed before you play - or else you get that vibrating and it sounds really bad.

Really what you need is a good wooden clarinet...

on and off for two years...but this vid was shot after about five minutes warm up and I had neglected my clarinet for about 6 months due to marching band (im 1st chair trumpet)
oh and im sorry but a wood clarinet is simply out of the question right now for my family unfortunetly...

i also got some good vandoren reeds (the reed i had was a Rico)

If you are a good player, the wood vs. plastic debate is pointless. I know plenty of people who can get a fantastic tone on plastic. Just keep playing, and look into a teacher, or another student you can get to mentor you.

Oh, and about the vibrato...I agree with panda. Stop using it on anything until it's gone, and then learn to command it. If you can't control your vibrato, than the vibrato is pointless.

wow guys, let's not start a war, lol
luker, just realize that music critique is a VERY STRONG part of playing an instrument, it's just important to not be mean about it. I feel that musical panda said it in a clear but friendly fashion. Sorry I coudn't reply, I have dial up, and would be sitting here all day, lol
again, let's just be happy

Btw, the "High G" in your scale isn't all that high... its 2 octaves above middle G. I don't think they call it double G....

It's only an octave above the G that rests on the very top of the staff... so I think us clarinet players just call it "high G". Or you could say Altissimo G...
