Just curious, do any of you find that you prefer conducting to playing your instruments? Because, I even feel like I make a better conductor than an instrumentalist, and was just curious as to if any one else preferred conducting, or was also interested in conducting style and usage...

Me? I love my instruments, I wouldn't trade them for anything! However, when I'm playing 'Titanic' with my concert band, I long to be at the front, hearing the wonderful tones coming from instruments, and listening to the glorious finale! But really I love my instruments too much!

I loved conducting until I started studying it formally and realized how much I was doing incorrectly technically. I'm sure once I become more comfortable with the correct motions, I'll enjoy it more again. But for now, I'll stick to playing my instrument lol.
