My daughter has been playing clarinet for 2 years & her private lesson teacher recommended that she use a neck strap to support the weight off her hands. She loves having the support but now her band director (in middle school) is wanting everyone to purchase lyres because they`ll soon be playing with the high school band for the final half-time show of the year.
We went to a local music store & they only had the lyre support. (The technician there told me that no one makes a dual support/lyre but I remembered seeing one in the brochure for her strap.)
I`ve seen them on-line in European countries (the BG marching extender is made in France). Does anyone know where I can purchase one of these in the US? I`ve done numerous web searches (ebay, hickey`s, wwbw, brookmays, many more.)
