I started clarinet two years ago and I am now starting trumpet in addition to clarinet so I can fit in a drumcorps
I heard people say that it was not good to play brass and clarinet
I would like to heard wath you clarinettist think about this

No its not unless you`r willing to make lots of sacrifices in tone and notes on both the instruments. Playing brass and reeds is like puting a desert scorion in the antartic they dont mix. I dought your band director would let you if you play in one anyway. As for different instruments try Trombone/Baritone/Horn/Trombone i know i have itching to play a different instrument at times but it dosent work out.
