Hello! You picked a great instrument maker. I am a student at the University of Tennessee and I play on a Buffet R13 which is the best instrument out there. They are little bit pricey but well worth it. Since you are a beginner, I would recomend the Buffet E11. It is an excellent student horn and a great start for a young aspiring musician. If you have any other questions about anything what so ever...feel free to email me at clarinetlvr@yahoo.com! Best of Luck!

hi

I play clarinet since 7 years and I have a Buffet E11. It`s a good instrument, I never had problems with it. I think it`s not the best what you can have but all my teachers said that it is a good one.

succes with your music!
greetings

The E13 is a good instrument, although i have to agree, the E11 would more suit your needs right now. The E13 is more expensive, and its not really worth it , if you want to step up from the E11- go to the R13. Also, Jessica- who lied to you and told you that the R13 is the best out there? LOL
It is too conventional for me, and it has missed out on alot of the improvement the have made in clarinet making over the past 50 years! I play the Leblanc Opus and the Concerto , and they are definetly both a notch above the the R13 or the RC Prestige!
Leblanc might not have the same tradition as Buffet, but it is definetly in a different class( above) the old fashioned Buffets.
Buffets are even still staining the wood of their so called "top notch " clarinets! Even in appearance they do not meet Leblanc`s high standards.
