For marching:
I use a Selmer CL200 Bb clarinet
Esprit mouthpiece
Rovner ligature
Rico plasticover size 3 reeds
For concert band, polka band, districts, and orchestra:
I use a Buffet R-13 Festival (sounds wonderfull)
The mouthpiece and ligature that came with it
Rico Royal size 3 reeds

I find that the buffet r-13 festival was the best of all the buffets. I was allowed to try one of each of the professional buffets before I bought the festival. It produces a rich sound and a wonderfull tone. The right hand Eb key is usefull for a lot of songs too.

Uhh... I play a long wooden thing...? With a mouthpiece...? And reeds...? Oh yeah, I think it`s called a clarinet!

JK I have a Selmer with La Voz medium hard reeds and a... Oh crap, the brand name washed off of my mouthpiece... Well, I do have a mouthpiece and that`s all that matters

A pair of R13 Prestiges recently completely overhauled by Tony Ward in Adelaide for 10% of the cost of a new pair! Won`t be doing that for a while, but the work is top notch!
Play on a 926 replica Ed Pillinger mpc (1.25mm opening) using 3.5 V12`s and an Optimum ligature.
Am toying with the idea of a pair of Peter Eaton`s (I like the idea of owning a pair of hand made English clarinets, as I`m from there) but will have to sample both the Elite and the International flavours before I can say for definite, as I still enjoy the focussed, controllable (at least with a decent reed!) R13 sound.

I play on a 1973 R-13 and the rest of my equipment is top secret...well really...hand made.

I just got my clairnet recently. I bought it on ebay. I was advertized as a vintage Selmer 1400. The clarinet is in superb shape. I`m wondering how vintage it is. Although the case is certainly authentic. It has a bundy mouth piece. I`m not sure what kind of ligature it came w/ all I know is that it was awfully rusty. I just bought a new one today, not sure of the brand.
How can you tell what brand your ligature is?

I`ve had a lot of luck w/ the vandoren 5rv with a strong reed. It makes the high notes (above C) come out cleanly without a ton of trouble.

My clarinet is an Evette Schaffer Buffet (like a high-end E11 from the late 70s, early 80s). But, when I bought it used, it wasn`t complete, so there`s a Boosey Hawkes bell on it. Mouthpiece is a Clark Fobes Zinner CF+. Reeds are Vandoren V12 4. Ligature is a Rovner. But it is on thin ice right now. I`m not liking it. But I`m liking other ones even less.
