In cleaning out grandmother`s house we found a clarinet. I have taken it and am signing up for private lessons. I don`t play any musical instrument I just thought it would be neat to learn to play. I know if I wait for my first lesson all will be revealed but I`m soo eager to know!

how do I know if this is a b flat or e or whatever type of clarinet?
how do I know if it is the Boehm style?

It is an old Victory all metal clarinet. I`ve been told it`s very old and someone has put new pads on for me.

Thanks for any tips you have for me. Thanks!

Serial number is one way also most Metal clarinets are Bb clarinets.

I`d take it to the local instrumental music store to have it checked by a repairman, they would know better than anyone else.
