Does anyone have an opinion, good or bad, about this clarinet? I have not played it but I know someone that has had it for a few months and is selling it because "it`s just too loud" for them. I like big bore clarinets and was looking for a Selmer 9 and am wondering if I should bother comparing the 9 to the Big Easy. Seems like a good price compared to a new one.

I love the "Big Easy" -- although I play an older model. The one I have was built in 1966. I used to play a selmer centered tone. It was also an older instrument.

I am a soloist and play easy listening and jazz. I love the big sound and how easy the horn plays. I would imagine a new horn would play as well or better.

I play professionally and many people have commented on how they enjoy the tone of this horn.
