I played Clarinet for about 6 months. That was about 40 years ago. Since then I have played Alto Sax. So I know almost nothing about clarinets. I now want to pick up the clarinet again, only this time seriously. My sax is set up for a classical sound. My preference. Majority of the music I play is blues. Keeping that in mind I would like some recomendations on which brand clarinets I should try out first, and what mouthpieces to start out with. Thanks for your advise.

Best brands I have found being a clarinetist and saxophonist are Buffet, Yamaha, and Leblanc

Thanks for the imput on brands. Went to the local music store today. Very, very small store. They only had one Leblanc. So I got to try that out. Will go to the next town north of my place and try the others at a much larger store.
