Looking for some really nice solo and ensemble pieces for a mandatory contest in my band. The solo can be at a difficult levek but the ensemble piece should be moderate or lower.
Just e-mail to me: chinesegiant54@aol.com please.

thanks,

I wont suggest any pieces because you haven't told us what kind of ensemble it is.
What i will say, is that if it happens to be a bassoon ensemble then don't forget to look at trombone ensemble repertoire aswel, because they can sound great on bassoons too.

Well there's just the solo piece, then, since my band director insists, there's also an nsemble, which has completely diminished into a duet, but the duet is with a french horn and me, the bassoon. So, if you have some sheet music like that thanks.

Oh dear. I doubt anyone will have music for french horn and bassoon, it's a very unusual combination. You might be better off getting a bassoon duet and transposing it for the french horn.

Well, if you were REALLY desperit, you could try getting a bassoon and english horn duet. I suppose you may have a little more luck finding that duet rather than a french horn and bassoon. You would then have to change the english horn music to suit the range of the french horn, but all of this seems like a lot of just a duet. Good luck!

Let's see I'm not that desperate because I can still do a solo (so it'd still be nice if any could send me those), and if it make sany difference or if it just makes this harder there is now a clarinet also, so a trio. E-mail is chinesegiant54@aol.com if anyone can supply anything.

Thanks

Mozart's concerto isn't huuuuuuugely amazing, it's just the most popular and well known bassoon piece. If there's any chance of you becoming a professional bassoonist, you wanna be careful of the first movement, cus that piece will haunt you for the rest of your life and you don't wanna have learnt it badly.

Oh well I'm learning the 3rd movement first, but at least I'm doing part of it, my teacher doesn't think I can do the rest of it though.

If you can do the third movement, then i'm pretty sure you can do the second. It's the first movement that's hard.

Well do you have the 2nd movement on hand then? I wouldn't mind trying that.
