I'm looking to buy a Heckel.

I'm a senior in high school, have playing in Carnegie Hall, am touring in China this summer, yadda yadd yadda.

Well, my Renard just isn't up to scratch any more, and I don't really feel the urge to take all the intermediate steps. I'm looking for an upgrade to a Heckel.
Am I correct in saying that the 41i is the newest model?
And does anyone know of a location in the U.S. where I could try one before I buy it?

Do I get the impression you are wanting a new one?

If so you cannot buy a new one off the shelf but you make your choice of the various keywork options available, place the order with Heckel & wait for about 3 years (last time I heard) & trust you get a good one - they do vary even with Heckel.

I'm just thinking, if you want a new Heckel, since you'd probably have to order it to get you specifications you want, would you maybe consider getting a Benson Bell? Just a crazy thought, but they are located in Ontario, and many people think they have considerable quality to Heckel. I think they are about 35,000(Canadian, as I live in Canada), which if you getting alot of features could be a bit cheaper than a Heckel, and custom keywork is free, unlike with Heckel. And you can always go up their and talk with Benson. Plus, finding someone that has a Heckel instock might be hard, because for the most part people custom order them. But I think Midwest Musical Imports MIGHT have Heckels... Probably just Crests though.
Just my 2 cents
