When taking a knife to your beloved reed, what knife do you use? I'm looking into buying some new equipment, any recomendations?

I prefer a small samurai sword, or maybe a machete, but as times are tight right now, any reed shaving blade works for me... you can find them online at just about any bassoon store, and they sometimes come in kits with everything you need (mandrel, plaque, etc).
