Hey,
My braces are finally off (after a long, hard journey through preteen and teenhood)
and I got out my bassoon. Now my sound is...stuffy i guess. It just isn't very good.My flute and picc were fine though (even better, actually). Is there any reason why my bassoon should sound so ghastly? I've got an advanced bassoon camp coming up,so is there any way to get my sound back fast? Any tips? I really don't want to sound like a dieing animal at camp.

if you just started 1 week ago, then chances are, you will. Same thing happened to me on clarinet, and bassoon fingerings are even more complex!
To help, try going over fingering in your head instead of counting sheep at night when you can't get to sleep, or fingering an imaginary bassoon when you get the chance, like when you are in the car, or watching TV.
