Ive already asked this question but have got no replies. I was wondering how I should go about tuning when one of the reeds I have made is flat. What should I do to the reed? I make my own and they tend to be flat, so I dont know what I am doing wrong. I have a lot of tools, and I know what a reamer does, but I am wondering (beacause I dont have one) if that would help my flatness.
If you reply thanks-a-bunch in advance!!

Well, I`m a clarinet player, but I have some common knowledge that may help. You know how whenever something`s hot, it expands, and when it`s cold, it gets smaller? So whenever it`s hot in band, everyone`s pitches go sharp and on a cold day, the pitch goes flat. So maybe, make your reeds more...open? Since more space= higher pitch. I guess...just try it. It seems logical. Hope I could be of some help. Good luck.

one of the simplest ways to get your reeds to play higher in pitch is to squeeze the back wire on the top and bottom, thiss will close the tipp of the reed and also raise the pitch. If that does not work then try cutting off some of the tip of the reed to make it shorter.
