it`s not so much about which model bassoon you have, as what condition the instrument it in. A lot of public schools and smaller colleges have very poor instruments. If you buy a second hand instrument, don`t settle for "okay", it has to be in pretty decent condition for you to really get good music from it. That being said, take what you can get, something is better than nothing, but the worse condition a bassoon is in, the more problems you`ll have to fight through to make it sound good, and to have a good experience
