If you want a cheap descent bassoon, Id go for an Amati Bassoon, If your willing to spend the extra money go for a Fox 220 or 240, or a 222. You can get these bassoons the cheapest at www.wwbw.com or some people also like ebay, but be aware that there are vegitable horns being sold on there, buy at your own risk! Hope this helps!

Once again, buy a Fox/Renard. They are the best non-heckel bassoon.

Definitely go with a Fox. They are the best non-german Bassoon maker.
