Hi, Im an aspiring trumpet player who id=s self teaching with the help of a book and dvd.

It seems that I am able to play well (from the notes i know) from f-bflat (going down) but whenever i play anything from g to c my note cracks and sounds badly.

is there any reason for this?

When you say "from G to C" do you mean from G on the staff up to C (3rd space) or down to middle C (below the staff)?

It's difficult to help without hearing you play. If you are a beginner, it may be nothing more than you need a bit of practice. And more wind through the horn.

How long have you been playing?

ive been playing for a few weeks now and I did some serious practicing today and I was able to play and hold all notes from c (2nd space on the staff from the top) down to b flat. I can tell now its just my need to practice because after I warm up i can play pretty well. I played dont worry be happy today flawlessly!

I am playing a suzuki concierto class trumpet that i bought new for around 300 from what i can tell its a decent trumpet but i dont know jack yet... I looked for a bach tr300 locally but couldnt find any.

Congratulations on the practice - now keep it up! Your horn is fine - in a couple years you may want to step up, but not until you are good enough to notice the difference.
