I`ve just started playing again after taking about a year and a half break. During that year and a half I did play some, but not regularly. I assume that I`m starting from scratch. With that said, I`ve been taking it lightly and doing a regular warm up (including long tones, some Clarke studies, and very light slurs), lip flexibilities, and Arban`s studies. I don`t play really hard, but I`ve been having a problem. My lips feel weird, and like they are constantly fatigued. I don`t use pressure, and I don`t play until I`m fatigued in one sitting. However, even after over an hour long break my lips still feel sore and fatigued. Any help?

Well, when that happens to your legs from running a lot, it means you`re building muscle, so maybe you`re just getting your embouchure back into shape.

Yeah, but if you`re playing everyday it still feels like that, so no... that`s not the answer I`m looking for. Thanks though. Next...

How long do you play know?
I play for about a year now and my lips get tired faster than I want them, and even after an hour brake my lips still feel tired.

your lip muscles just have to build up. your lips hurting are a sign of your muscles working. it`s good that your lips hurt
