LOL!!
Oh I've got lots of stories from my days singing/playing in bands....
One that springs to mind is being chatted up by a rather strange groupie who wouldn't take his eyes off me. Peculiar looking, with a very quiet voice which meant you had to lean towards him to hear what he was saying, shifty eyes behind thick rmmed glasses... You get the picture?
I started getting nervous as it wasn't like normal ppl, who watch, turn away, talk to their mates, drink, etc., this guy never looked away, he was scary!
Well, we reach the end of the set and the end of the night and start to pack away. This guy thinks he's pulled as I was polite and chatted away to him during the half-time interval...
I'm looking to my other two band members (both male) to help me out here and making eyes at them - HELP, EEEK, RESCUE ME..... and they're both sitting there laughing their sox off.
Eventually I manage to say goodbye to this groupie and extracate myself from his in-your-face conversational chat-up style. I was so embarrassed.
OOO you've pulled there, they said, as I joined them to help pack the rest of the gear away.... And for weeks afterwards, they were still on about my excellent pulling power
;(
Well, THEY thought it was funny!
