I'm not usually a big fan of these types of compilation CDs that labels put out, but I gave this one a shot and I actually liked it! It's called Eclectic Cafe and it's a mix of a bunch of artists like Moby, Tracy Bonham, and Echo and the Bunnymen. The problem with a lot of compilation CDs these days is that there are one or two decent songs and the rest are terrible. This one actually introduced me to some artists that I hadn't heard of but have styles that I really like. I first heard it from a coworker at UMGD and liked it so much that I bought a copy for myself when it came out last week. I've been listening to it while I'm stuck in morning traffic and it's good for keepin me mellow and passing the time quickly. My favorite song is "Don't Wait Too Long" by Madeleine Peyroux...it's got a mellow Billie Holiday feel Check it out:
