I play flute,but i stink.I`ve been playing for one year but i`m still not that good.I practice all the time.im confused.

If you have lessons in school, then I`d advise you to also have private lessons out side of school, another thing you can do is to invite a friend over that plays the flute, even if he/she is betetr than you! They will be able to help you.
If ANY of your friends are musical (or any family) then even they could help you, not with playing, but with counting of the notes, like how long to play a dotted crotchet etc Don`t worry, but get help

some people just take more time to learn

its okay, i play the flute too and it took me a while to get it down. if u locate what u are doing wrong than it is easier to fix it!

i started to play flute in august 03 and i`m real good well at least i think i am. o.O i`m only 11 turning 12 in exactly 4 months, june 21. well good luck

There`s a point where you reach when you can read enough to play some more interesting pieces and it begins to click. Don`t worry, it took me about a year and a half until I reached it, now I`m grade seven (scary!)just as long as you have a good teacher and are enthusiastic, you can`t go wrong By the way, is ANYBODY on here english? I am and I feel like a minority...
