Ok...The main complaint I have about that little post my musicrox12 is that...............WHAT THE (insert four letter word of some kind) ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!?!?! Band totally OWNS orchestra! We're louder, have cooler instruments, and can play jazz.
It takes a heckuva string player to play jazz well on a string player, such as Mark O'Connor. (Emphasis on "well") At my school, the Dorkestra doesn't even get percussion, which is another disadvantage. (Not saying that they all are lacking percussion, but whatever.) BAND RUUUUULES!

the top 10 things i hate about band


1 whenever you mention it to a not band guy, the say the same american pie joke
2 Tuesday afternoon practise, miss out on half of football training
3 the zylophone player is always pointing out my wrong notes
4 the claritnet players dont seem capible of reading music
5 the violyn player hits me with hos bow
6 whenever someones out of time we habe to start again
7 the band leader picks on the trumpets
8 the drummers are !****!s
9 the sax players think there better then everyone becaus their loudest
10 when we have to perform at masses !!!!! !!!!! CHURCH IS SO BOARING !!!!! !!!!!

The thing that bugs me most is that most our perc. section refuses to learn from the director. Whenever he tries to teach something, these people just give him either a blank look or puppy eyes. Grr...

The worst thing about band for me is the alto saxes and three of the trombones. They're constantly talking and playing wrong notes on purpose. The other trombones are really good though. We only get 1 practice a week in the morning BEFORE school which is a total disaster. But anyway the best thing about band is my awesome horn buddies. They actually pay attention to the music unlike other people. But enough of my rambling. I can't wait til high school band in fall.

woah, you only have band once a week? that sucks! i have band everyday, music classes are on split block schedule, meaning that everyday we have 3 regular classes (they go for half the year) then 4th block we have music classes and one day (a days) are wind ensemble and the other day (B days) are symphonic. And they last all year unlike all the other classes. So it's pretty awsome.

yea we have some really !****!ed sax's, just 2 of them and at the beginning of class we have about 5 minutes to warm up on our own and they always try to play screaching loud notes on purpose and then they just sit there and laugh. But that's only in the lower band- symphonic. The higher band- wind ensemble, is a lot more controlled plus it only has 60 ppl while symphonic has 85. oh yea, and our flute players never shut up but they're not bad players or anyhting, just annoying.

the worst thing about my band is that we all can't shut up! our band director gets really !***!ed off. and the trombones always hit the flutes on the heads with their slides when they're not playing. and our clarinets have one guy that is missing something and so he's always squeaking!

it is definetly a violynist in the middle of a wind band, we only have 2 string instruments, the violyne and bass guitar
