Hey everybody! I'm still kinda new to this website, so bear with me here. So, my marching band found out our season's marching show theme!!! It's called "Another Man's Treasure..." and it's based off of that old saying "One man's trash is another man's treasure..." I don't how the music will fit in, but the entire show's music is based off of very famous Mozart pieces. The music is very well arranged though, don't get me wrong! I'm like sooo excited to perform this year's show because #1. I'm the new mellophone section leader!!! (beacuse my old section leader became my new drum major!!! Woohoo!!!) and #2. I LOVE marching band!!!

So, what are other people's band's marching band themes for this year?? I'm just curious, I love finding out the wide variety of shows bands can come up with!!!

Actually, you're not far off. I believe it's radio waves, ocean waves, brain waves, and the wave of the future.

That's cool, haha. I guess we don't really care who knows. We bought the rights to the show, and protection. (So no one else can do the show at any competition we go to.)

Our show this year is the "Beatles". Not your average Beatles show that you see on youtube and hear on music sites. Our shows are arranged by a band director that WAS in our county but now he has became our rival band director.

Our 2009 show includes:
Hard Day's Night
Drive My Car
Day Tripper
Got To Get You Into My Life
The End

There is indeed a song entitled Waves by Brian Balmages. I like it although it is a little slow for my taste and yes I have performed it : )

That's sweet! There was a show last year in Class C that was very similar to yours by the sound of it. Idk if they used "Paint It Black" but I thin they had the same concept. LOL Your show sounds awesome!

This arrangement is by Richard Saucedo, with a max tempo of 180bpm.
