Go Woodwinds!
Brass cannot achieve the many different styles that clarinets, saxes, and flutes can! Brass would never be able to pull off a jazz solo! It would sound overbearing and regal!
WOODWINDS ROCK!

<Added>

However, I do like playing the euphonium...... WOODWINDS STILL ROCK!!!!!

Wait a minute my friend--brass can play jazz. Just take a look at this link:

Best of both worlds. There's a sax solo at the beginning, haha. But Pieface, anyone that knows anything about jazz knows that the 'bone solo by Watrous is amazing. You can't seriously tell me that brass can't play jazz.

Woodwinds still lead! YES! Um... but I have to admit that I prefer Jazz on brass, but I realize that it also sounds awesome on the sax! But, being a mostly a flute and oboe player I can't swing! (^:

IMHO I never, ever liked brass. Their sounds are too bulky for me.
I like woodwinds better - they are fine-sounding and beautiful and smooth.

I like all musical instruments. Each instrument has something to offer that is missing from other instruments. For this reason I prefer to compose for ensembles, so that each instrument can express itself the best it can.

I have already posted here a piece for four woodwinds and a French horn. Now I have an idea for a piece for a brass ensemble. I hope to be able to materialize it and post it here as soon as it is ready.
