I have a PSR 282 and would like some software to link it up to the computer but which is best? I like the sound of Cakewalk Homestudio XL would this be sutiable for my keyboard? Someone told me Cubasis was good but I don`t think so. I am 14 and have played the keyboard for 1 year I also will be doing music GCSE. Some one help!

Software? You can get software for the keyboard? WOW! I have a PSR-170, but I never knew you could get software for the keyboard! What do you do with the software anyway, what`s it for?

You can only link up MIDI keyboards which will say if they are, you can then play your keyboard and the notes will come up on the computer and then you can edit it and write your own music.

Cakewalk is quite good, you can use lots of artificial sounds as well.

I find it difficult trying to make up songs. Sometimes I`ll just sing random words with a random tune... very difficult

I am two years int playing and have recently been given cakewalk.. the great thing about it that i found was that i could put my bog standard yamaha psr 320, through it and use a whole boat load of new sounds...great to keep up the enthusiasm...although i am a long way off composing my own tunes..
