Hey, does anyone play the harp here? Cos I kinda need the notes for the harp, like what notes can it actually play, since I`m doing a composition. Can anyone help me out please? Thanks for your time ^_^

My mom plays harp.
Congratulations, you`re one of the few composers who care enough to include a harp in their song that does more than play glissandos.
I too had some difficulty starting off. DO NOT DO ANYTHING CHROMATIC! It is insanly hard to press the pedals that much. Over all it`s like piano. If you really wan`t to get fancy there is dampaning and knocks etc.
It really depends on what you want. If you want it for lever harp keep it in the same key for the most part and don`t change accidentals. For pedal harp (my composition prefrance) take all the liberities you want (just don`t do to many half steps). The highest note on an average harp is... I think c three (four?) octaves above middle c. (I`m not looking at a harp right now). The lowest I`d say three below middle c.
Good luck with your composing. Thank you for remembering the harp.

Hey, just spotted your note about the harp - I am at uni and doing composition! i have just written a piece for celesta, harp and voice - and your note just helped me cos i needed to check the highest note the harp can play. I agree with you it should be included more - it sounds wicked.
Thanks
