I saw the Violins myself of Takumi & its very magnificent in Sounds & workmanship. He has Bird`s eye maple, narrow grain maple & even double inlaid ones. He also sculpts the bridges & pegs very nicely.

He has a artistic / sculptured scroll also. Something that the local makers cannot do on their Violins. Only to him I have seen such masterpiece. I saw Tamayo`s but no sculptured scroll ones.

reply to annie, thats great just keep on practicing, suzuki is ok but also practice your scales, first of all when starting to play be sure your violin is ok,have the bridge and the finger board trimed by a qualified violin maker.it doesn`t matter what violin you have as long as a qualified violin maker sets up your violin properly.its also wise to invest in a good bow.a good bow will train your rigth hand and will promote a good tone. Tone is very important,so tone production is high priority.practice in producing a warm and clear tone from your violin...,you can also listen to cd`s of your favorite violinist and listen to them, listen to the way they play .hope you`ll be a great violinist one day.featherhawk

Dati gusto ko violin ni tamayo especially sabi ni cayuca sa interview na magande nga! True but when I tried & bought Violin from that Takumi stated. I am speechless. Bar none Violins. no comparison. The violin can compete & defeat any local made violins kahit nino pa! Friend ko na taga UP bumili na rin! Great competition. We can compare great Violins at di monopolized ng isa lang.

He is from Manila. But his lineage is not pure filipino. a great sculptor of all mediums is his dad who has a workshop in Skokie, Illinois. I bought three of his violin, way greater than the locally made Violins here in Manila. He is a collector & Pirastro connected in Germany. Everytime I visit him, musicians from different schools were trying his violins, including Concert masters. Not all are for sale thoughbut he has enough for sale. His dad makes Violin too using Bavarish 25 year old aged & dried maple compared to he 5 year old maple of local made violins. He can repair Violin too.
His number at this moment is 844-7455.
