What is a good German Violin that is nice and reasonably priced? Advise appreciated.

I don't know any specific brands, but I would suggest going to a music store near by and ask about their 1/2 violins. If your child is a beginner, I would not recommened buying anything expensive for the following reasons.. 1.Eventually when your child gets older, he or she will need a bigger violin, and will not be able to play the 1/2 comfortably anymore. and 2.If youre child is a beginner and hasn't tried out the violin yet he or she may find that he/she doesn't enjoy it and will not want to continue, thus the violin would go to waste.
