Edge,

Yah but if the violin sounds like crap, there`s no way you would be able to make sound better than it`s capable of.

In my opinion, Gliga instruments are the best value in music today.

I`ve recently got a Gliga Gama 2 from Elizabeth Ward, and it`s great. I just wish I had £1,000 to get the top of the range Maestro.

Your $3,000 is more than enough to secure you one, and it`s only goign to improve with age.

I appreciate the comments about violins improving with age, and how after 150 years they may start to get worse too, but new instruments do play in very quickly, and as someone pointed out, the old instruments were new once and weren`t ignored then.
