My name is Rebekah. And I have been playing violin for almost 5 years now. I love it some much... I love the way my fingers just dance on the strings.. lol I love it! Im 13 years old.. and I have loved the violin for as long as I can rember.. The one thing that got me started playing Is when I was like 3 I had a dream.. I saw a violin on my shelf.. And Then after that .. I bugged my parents to get me a violin!! So finally they gave in and got my a ''teacher'' a lady from my church that thoght she knew violin.. I went on with that for a year and a half.. And then I dropped it becuse she made it so confusing for me. Then one day I whanted the violin back in my life.. So I seached penny savers ,phone books anything for a violin teacher!! And finally my mom called this one college for me.. And now I have been taking lessons there for almost 5 years.. I love the violin. ... Can anyone eles tell how they came to play violin? I find it very interesting. Thanks!

my mum always wanted to play the violin but the teacher at her school was horrible-used to hit them if they werent playing right..so she didnt, and in grade 4 the violin teacher came around asking if anyone wanted to play, so i did. lol i dont remember if i wanted to play or not, but im so glad i did, coz i love it so much, its become my life. ive had the same teacher since that first day, and its great :D

Hey! I came across the violin in 6th grade. I knew my mom wanted to play the violin but she never had the money when she was younger. When i told my mother this she was so excited, she wanted me to have the best of it since she couldn't. I've played since then and i'm a senior now and still playing. I've picked up the double bass as my other main instrument. But I've also learned most of the viola and learning cello now. Orchestra has always been apart of me. And i thank my mom so much for letting me do as my heart desires with my music

Well I haven't start playin yet but for the last 2 years my fater's been the president of the music boosters in my town and every february we have a music sale with used instrumenst and i've allways hung around the violins and this year (well, next year actualy. feb. 2007) i'm gona save invest in one and my dream will come true (lol =P)

I wanted to play since I was seven and heard Beethoven's first movement of his 5th sinfonie. Never had the money and when it came time to play in the school band they didnt offer strings, so I had to go with trumpet, and then after 3 years I stopped picked up guitar and have done that for 8 years, I then told me gf I was thinking about it, and for Christmas, she went out and got me one and told me, time to let the seven year old boy out and play.

I wanted to do when i was 4 but my mum & dad made wait till i was 8. anyway i started at 8 and have now been doing it for 7 years.... I love it...

I always knew i had wanted to do band since my mom has a flute.. i had never really thought about orchestra, but my sister was going to (try) the violin and i decided to come to the orchestra meeting as well.. after that i decided i wanted to be in orchestra, not band.

Well my mom said that we should go to the band meeting as well.. then i was like.. ahh i can't decide.. so i decided to do both! They told us that most people end up quitting one or both.. are bad at both, are only good on one etc.. but boy i proved them wrong! I am very good at both, and after 5 years, i am just started private lessons, yay!

So basically i owe it to my sister that i play violin, and i love it!
