Hi guys, I've been studying how to play a violin for six months already, and up until now my teacher doesnt teach me how to do vibrato.. i dont know when should she teach me vibrato? Thanks!

Hello. I have been playing the violin for 20 years.;.. boy do I feel old..lol I only started to learn vibrato after a few years. If you want to learn.. it is something that takes time, not just something quick. Take your time...I think it is best if you don't rush yourself.

Yeah its a really gradual thing, involves LOTS of practice. I started maybe two years after I began playing. Five years later I've mastered my first three fingers and I'm still working on my fourth.

A tip though, my teacher always tells me to stand with the scroll of the violin against a wall, to steady it, then you don't end up just shaking the violin!

also, let your teacher teach it to u, u dont want bad habbits. i started after 3 years and takes a LONG time to get perfect. say.... 8 years!! ya, i no, LONG time.
