I just a bought a violin and I need rosin. Can anyone recommend and good brand that's cheap?? Or recommend anytihng for that matter?

Rosin ranges between $1.50 and $3.50. Just buy a chunk at your local music store. But don't eat it - it's not candy

Pretty much any brand of rosin is good. As long as it works, I`ll buy it. I prefer to use the dark rosin as opposed to the light rosin because it goes on the bow a lot easier.
