Hi Folks, i am a total beginner when it comes to violin. have never even held one! I just bought the one on the link below except in white. I am a guitar, piano guy and play professional harmonica in a gigging blues band. just wanted to try something new. can anyone tell me a little about this, like has anyone bought this model et. al.? it was around $150 and after asking the seller a bunch of questions i was satisfied. it is all wood, no plastic. anyway, thanx in advance for your responses. RK Out!

Nice design. I've had this one for a year and a half now http://www.thomann.de/fi/harley_benton_hbv400bk_evioline.htm and I've been quite happy with it, I had never held a violin in my hands when I bought it,just wanted to give it a try.Now i also have an acoustic one and a cello. Ive used a guitar amp and a chorus-pedal with it, mine sounds kind of screechy if I don't turn the treble way down, othervise the sound is quite nice. A tube amp sounds better with this one than a solid state. Good for practising in the evenigs without disturbing he neighbours. still, I mostly play the acoustic nowadays.
