Hi all,
I've got a Strunal violin which costs around 1700$. The problem is that I hear a sound like air coming out of the instrument when I'm playing. Sometimes I can't even hear the sound of the note I'm playing-just air. Could it be the instrument itself? Or the bow? My bow is new and one of the best I could find, I use Eudoxa strings and Hill rosin.

I think its the bow, you said that it is new, so for new bows, trying applying lots and lots of rosin

It helps if you scratch your rosin with a knife to expose lots of dust, that way it will apply quickly. It is hard to get a rosin cake to apply rosin when it is new.
