Hold on a second. I teach two young children ages 7 and 4. They are brother and sister and their parents bought them each a Cecilio violin. The violins came in about a week but when I opened the cases to tighten the strings and tune, the bridge was wrapped in paper and put in a separate compartment in the case. It was hell trying to get the bridge to stay up while I was putting the strings over in and tightening it. One of the kids bows was falling apart too, all the hair was coming out.

Anyway I wouldnt recommend any instrument from Cecilio. Their instruments seem to be crap.

I'd suggest getting the parents to send the faulty bow back, the shop ought to accept that.

GUESS WHAT!
MY MOM BOUGHT ME A VIOLIN FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

So, a method to her madness--and Liz was on to her. Anyway, a great story altogether. That was fun.
