What do you think of them as far as quality? I still can't afford a better violin, and I really should get a good one after playing for six years. As far as sound quality, I think it's alright, but the strings (all of them) are much MUCh skinnier than those of other brands. It sort of irks me.

so basically, is this a good brand or no?

Do you mean you've been playing for six years and are thinking of buying a Palatino, or that you play a Palatino now?

I currently own a Palatino, and I've had it for about 5 years.
For me, I enjoy my Palatno. The sound quality is goo,d not too loud, not to quite. It's just right. Also, it isn't very screechy, but has a sort of soft tone to it. I think these are great violins, but I would rather have a Strad =P

if you have any questions, or want further information, just send me a message on here, or a reply, and I'd be happy to respond and help you any further as best I can!

Happy New Year!
