fiddle is sometimes about the attitude! like if you are playing a sad classical song then you would try to emote that in your music. its the same with fiddle. also fiddle is forgiveable, you do not have to be classically trained to be a fiddler, so loosening up a little might help, but not at the expense of your technique! its more a feeling then a technique i think

technique technique technique!!!
Irish fiddling is very different from classical. I play both. Pay attention to the bowing, that is what truly makes the irish sound!! also you can you ornaments like rolls. to find out about this and more, i reccomend the website:

it has a lot of helpful stuff!!!
also you could check out my band's mysapce, we have music uploaded there. there is both irish and scottish fiddling on the page. However, most of our stuff is scottish. But it might help.
