I am searching for new violin strings and was hoping to try different strings. I've always used Dominant strings but now I'm looking for strings that will have a much warmer and richer sound!!!!!! Thank you very much in advance!

<Added>

I forgot to ask if any had suggestions for better strings so if anyone knows of better ones I'd be very glad to know thx!

I think some of my teachers students (and possibly my teacher) uses Obligato strings. I don't know for sure, but I know they have like two colors on the part near the fine tuners.

I use Dominant strings and always have. I get a very nice sound from my instrument

I've always used dominant strings. I personally dont like the obligato strings, they made my violin sound to pale. However I've been meaning to try on some other strings that look fairly good. I'll repost when I remember the name.

I hear that a certain brand made a new kind of gut core string that wont go out of tune as quickly as most gut strings do. You can probably find them at www.sharmusic.com
