i just thought that the volume-adjusting feature of the electric violin is really good since i don't want to disturb the neighbours and stuff.. haha
is the sound quality the same? can a an electric violin produce the same sound quality even without plugging in headphones or watever?
i really don noe which i should choose. plz advise. thx guys!
music rocks!

I think that a classical is better, the quality of the sound is older and more beautiful.

And if you don t want to disturb the neighbourhood there is sth that I don t know its name, sth plastic that you can adjust on the violin whenever you want to reduce the sound.

get a classical, you can get various kinds of mutes for your violin which will damp the sound. also if you get good and you wish to upgrade then you can electrify your old violin with piezo transducer bridges (expensive) or just a cheap pick up. to be honest a good electric will cost as much as a good classic, so you may as well get the classic as they are more versatile.

If you're a beginner then electric is a big no no. You should start simple with a starter classical violin.

also, you could just get a pickup and add it onto your violin so you can play both classical and electric.

Thanks! i'm having lots of fun with the violin! it sounds reallyyy nice!
it's really tough learning on my own, but i've kinda managed it somehow thanks to some piano background. having some music knowledge beforehand really helps!

I would definitely want to start out on a traditional acoustic violin. Get to know the instrument and play with a good sound, then you can look forward to buying a 2nd electric violin.

When my daughter played, I was hoping she would get serious enough that I could justify buying her one of those electric models, though. They are pretty cool.

I should note that both the classical and electric can be purchased in a price range for a student or beginner. Check out the reviews first, though.

It is a wise idea you bought the Acoustic violin, it helps you in a lot of ways in violin playing.
Try as much as possible to lay more emphasis on your tone, that is more important than speed, as you progress on it, your speed will increase .
Get a good tutor to start with and more advantage for you cause you can play the Piano, so try as much as possible to pay attention to your tone.
Cheers.
