Yeah, I signed up for violinmasterpro. I'm trying to get my money back. The website is nothing more than tips on doing this or that on the violin. Most of the videos average about 4 or 5 minutes in length and there is only about 15 that offer any useful tips. The others are videos of Lewis playing. There are currently just 21 videos in all (notice the ad that says there are "hundreds of videos"). The home website is pure marketing hype and does not come close to delivering what it promises. There is no "method" of instruction at all.
Hats to you for managing to learn to play from that website. You are a great student.

Well, you cant get 100 violin videos for 29$ . You have to get a nice violin instruction book like Basics, by simon Fischer and then these videos .

If you get the same level of coaching, as studying with a teacher for 1 or 2 years, then all violin teachers in US will be jobless!

Thanks

rsteve, maybe you could help me out by telling me where I can find the other 79 videos. I have emailed the site owner asking where they are but after 3 days, no reply.
The 3 videos about tetra chords are as close to 1 minute soundbites as you can get. There is no instructional value in them because they are so short. If the other missing 79 vids are no better than this, I don't need to waste my time on them.

Actually, the Todd Ehle videos are better than violinmasterpro and they are free.
The Basics book, along with Practice, looks interesting. Thanks for the tip on that one.

Hmmmm. I wonder if rsteve has something to do with selling that product? Do YA THINK?
There is NO WAY you or anyone else could learn anything from those videos.
Nice story about how you impressed your imaginary friends music coach with that rip off video lesson site. Also, if you can't buy 100 lessons for 29.95, then why does it say you can? Can you say....SCAM....Rip off...Thief?
Too bad Eric Lewis, who is actually an excellent violinist is associated with this scam of a product. DO NOT BUY violinmasterpro.

I had to call the credit card co. to make the chargeback, the violinmasterpro website owner would not respond to me.
I also emailed the webmaster from whose site I clicked on violinmasterpro's google ads link and told him what a sham they are. He advised me to contact google ads saying they were strict about thieves using their service. However, I could not find a link to complain to them. Hopefully, others will see this post and save their trouble and money.

Personally I prefer face to face, but seeing as there isn't anyone close by who could teach you.

I don't know any good online courses if there is a such thing, but a site you might find useful is www.violinmasterclass.com

Its free and has a lot of useful information and brilliant instructional videos.
