I recently acquired a violin from a friend. It's been sitting around for nearly 7 years and I was just wondering if rosin goes bad.

Hi there.
Your question is a commonly asked one, so I will give you the common answer. You will reconize when violin rosin goes bad - it will start cracking and little pieces will come off and make an absolute mess in your case. When this happens, your rosin can be disposed, amd a new case of rosin can be purchased.

Hope I helped,
