Sorry to make my first post on this forum a question, but I'm really very desperate.

I need new pegs on my violin, and can't find any pegs at all that come with holes. I don't have a drill or know anyone that has one (I live in a tiny bedsit as well, and can't get one) and I just don't know what to do. I tried making holes in some pegs by hammering in picture-hook nails, but that just split the pegs.

I don't care if the pegs I get are too big - I can easily sand them - but I really need them to come with holes.

It's getting really frustrating now. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Please dont try doing it yourself you'll just damage your your pegs and violin. You need to take it to an experianced luthier they will be able to help you.
