I would like to buy a decent used violin but I know absolutely nothing about what I am looking for. All I know is I need a full sized violin for a new player. Can anyone offer any advice?

Pick a violin teacher and have him/her come with you to a music store. (NO ONLINE!) Give the store your price range, money isn't as important as quality. Good luck!
